It is always wise to have the home you are about to purchase inspected by a Home Inspector. They will be able to point out things that need repair now and in the future. Also, and I did this, is have the home you are selling pre-inspected by a home inspector so you can fix anything that may need repair prior to putting your home up for sale. So, in the event the offer to purchase your home is conditional on a home inspection, you can either provide the one you had or use it as back up, if necessary.
